Lower Silesian entrepreneurs at Space Tech Expo Europe 2024 in Bremen

On 19-21 November, Lower Silesian entrepreneurs from the space sector participated in the international trade fair Space Tech Expo Europe 2024 in Bremen, organised by the Local Government of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship as part of the project 'Going Global 4.0 - Internationalisation of Lower Silesian Enterprises'.

Eight companies presented themselves at the regional stand:

Engineering Office "Lystis" dr Eng Marek Sawicki – an innovative company operating in the space market, specialising in technological services, including design and manufacture of composites, design of mechanics and mechatronics and structural analysis.

Nanores Sp. z o.o. – a modern and privately owned nanotechnology laboratory specialising in materials research and the production and prototyping of micro- and nanocomponents. 

Scanway S.A. a company developing optical payloads for space. Scanway offers two types of products: telescopes for Earth observation and camera systems for space, and has research and development activities in the field of optoelectronics.

SatRev S.A. a space company founded in 2016. It designs, manufactures and launches nanosatellites to collect optical data.

Extremo Technologies Sp. z o.o. a startup specialising in biotechnology for space and terrestrial applications that focuses on advanced technologies to support space exploration, including biotechnology innovations.

Thorium Space S.A. specialises in the design and construction of advanced telecommunications systems tailored to unique transmit and receive bands, enabling electronic beam steering and high-speed data transmission.

Sky Tronic Sp. z o.o. specialises in the construction and design of microprocessor-based control systems for multi-rotor UAVs.

Komes Sp. z o.o. is engaged in the supply of specialist engineering services, the execution of computational work and the preparation of technical expertise.

Participation in Space Tech Expo Europe and a place at the Lower Silesia regional stand provided an excellent opportunity for entrepreneurs to present their latest products and technologies, discover new industry trends and facilitate the establishment of new business contacts. Representatives of the Lower Silesian delegation took part in seminars, conferences, lectures, demonstrations presenting the most spectacular projects in the space area, as well as in the networking part, which was organised for speakers and exhibitors.

During the event, presentations on key topics in the field of systems engineering for satellites, rockets and spacecraft were given during numerous conferences, including the Industry Conference, Smallsats Conference, Connectivity World Conference, Exhibitor Technology Forum, with the participation of more than 150 speakers, which included entrepreneurs from Lower Silesia.

The participation of Lower Silesian entrepreneurs in the economic mission during Space Tech Expo 2024 was possible thanks to the 'Going Global 4.0' project. The main objectives of the project are national and international economic promotion and internationalisation of Lower Silesian enterprises by creating opportunities to win new markets and new investors. The Going Global project effectively supports investment processes of Lower Silesian companies in the field of research and development, international promotion activities in the micro, small and medium-sized enterprise sector. Co-financed from the Budget of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship and the European Funds for Lower Silesia for 2021-2027, the next edition of the Going Global programme is the only local government initiative in Poland, thanks to which Lower Silesian entrepreneurs have the opportunity to establish business contacts at the world's largest trade fair events.

The Going Global 4.0 project envisages the organisation of 28 foreign economic missions for approximately 300 Lower Silesian entrepreneurs.

   The project 'Going Global 4.0 - Internationalisation of Lower Silesian Enterprises' is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the European Funds for Lower Silesia 2021-2027 and the funds of the Self-Government of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
