Working Group on Smart Specialisations
It is the most important forum for cooperation between the Lower Silesian local government and business, the science and research sector, business environment institutions and other participants in the Lower Silesian innovation system, and at the same time an important element of the entrepreneurial discovery process defined in the Lower Silesian Innovation Strategy 2030.
The aim of the group's work is to continuously identify and monitor development areas in the region, to determine the directions of the region's development and the most promising niches in which to invest resources earmarked for innovation growth. The aim is also to ensure constant cooperation between the self-government and the participants in the Lower Silesian innovation system . This cooperation will help adapt innovation policy in Lower Silesia to the needs of businesses, universities, the research and development sector, the business environment and users of innovation. Most importantly, it will also become a place for participants to animate cooperation and initiate joint projects and ventures. We also assume the possibility of organising task/topic teams within the newly established Working Group, which would include members of the Group and additionally appointed experts.
The Working Group on Smart Specialisations focuses its work on the smart specialisations of Lower Silesia.
The composition of the Working Group on Smart Specialisations was determined following an open call from 8 to 26 November 2021.
On 21 December 2021 the Board of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship adopted an official Resolution to this effect. The group has 63 members. It includes representatives of Lower Silesian scientific and R&D units, enterprises, clusters and business environment institutions.
